“This third batch of recordings crawls, creeps and floats from Badalamenti-esque ambience on ‘Carry’ and the brilliant ‘Blue Too (Lost Draft)’ through sneering junglism ‘Friday Night In A Small Town’” – Boomkat
A Cassette Tape Culture (Phase Three) is a collection of previously unreleased outtakes, demos, and remixes from sessions from the first 3 out-of-print aTelecine releases aVigillant Carpark EP [Pendu Sound], …and Six Dark Hours Pass [Dais], and A Cassette Tape Culture (Phase One) [Pendu Sound]. Some obviously correspond to earlier released material while others do not allude to anything else but a foundation. These tracks sonically explain away the lineage and create a bridge to the new sounds and ideas forged in an upcoming trilogy of LPs to be released later this year on Pendu Sound Recordings: (I.) The Falcon and the Pod, (II.) Sounds That Gods Fear, and (III.) Origin of the Obsolete Robot.
