“A Cassette Tape Culture (Phase 1)” is the second recording by aTelecine to be released by Pendu Sound Recordings, a NYC-based independent record label run by artist/curator, Todd Brooks. This 36-minute full-length LP continues where their “aVigillant Carpark” 7” on Pendu Sound left off and expands outward toward longer, more developed soundscapes rich in textures made from tape loops, synth-washes and sparse vocals. aTelecine originally began as a duo with Sasha Grey and Pablo St. Francis, but has since expanded into a 4-piece adding new members, Anthony Djuan and Ian C.
